A client of ours is one of the leading Solar PPA (Power Purchase Agreement) solutions providers, with a mission to accelerate the advent of sustainable energy. They are actively looking for someone with your experience to join them as a site manager.

 

This is a regular role with a six-day work week. The site manager will be responsible for leading and supervising the implementation of the company's solar and other renewable energy projects, ensuring adherence to schedule, budget, quality, and safety standards.

 

Roles:

  • Determine project scope and service level agreements through site inspections and analysis of project design, customer requirements, and performance standards.
  • Develop construction project schedules by analyzing project design and specifications, estimating time requirements, and sequencing project elements.
  • Plan and coordinate project implementation resources, including materials, equipment, accommodation, and transportation.
  • Prepare project plans according to specific requirements, covering mobilization, final design, quality assurance, health, safety, and environment considerations, testing and commissioning, and permits.
  • Develop comprehensive manpower schedules, tool, and material take-offs based on project size, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Supervise project activities to ensure compliance with company design specifications, regulatory requirements, and contractual obligations.
  • Manage subcontractor contracts and oversee client-stakeholder relationships.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by enforcing procedures, rules, and regulations according to company EHS and Quality Standards, providing guidance and corrections to subcontractors when necessary.
  • Generate daily/weekly project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information, and recommending actions as needed.
  • Supervise testing and commissioning activities prior to system energization.
  • Obtain required documentation for project completion, compliance, and acceptance.
  • Conduct client orientation and training sessions.
  • Complete handover checklists and prepare End of Project Evaluation and Report.

 

Educational Attainment:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or related field.

 

Minimum Required Experience:

  • Hold a valid license as an Electrical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Electronics and Communications Engineer, or certified Instrumentation and Control Engineer.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience managing solar PV projects, other renewable energy or electrical systems, and demonstrating leadership.
  • Proficient in the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC).
  • Strong knowledge and experience in medium to high voltage electric systems and/or SCADA systems for utility, solar, or other renewable energy projects.
  • Expertise in electrical power systems and PV design, including plant layout, performance modeling, modules, inverters, racking, and DC/AC collection systems.
  • Preferably skilled in optimizing solar projects for performance, cost, and constructability.
  • Knowledgeable in construction project management and overseeing project site implementation and execution throughout all project phases: pre-construction, construction, and post-construction.
