Aurora is hiring for one our clients that specializes in FPSO / Offshore projects to be based in Singapore to join them as a Senior Package Engineer.
Position: Senior Package Engineer
Location: Singapore
Duration: 24-months Direct Hired Contract (Renewal)
Purpose:
To independently determine and prepare the Requisitions for packages of mechanical components and / or equipment that are required in a project, assists in evaluating the technical aspects of bids and executing in order to deliver the packages on time and to ensure that the packages meet the technical requirements
Responsibilities:
- Understands the specifications and requirements in the area of mechanical packaged equipment and system (such as Glycol Dehydration Package, Chemical Injection package, H2S removal package,Produced water treatment Package, WHRU, Pressure vessels, Pumps,etc., ) of the assigned package.
- Responsible for Mechanical Design of packaged equipment in compliance with applicable International codes ASME, API etc.,
- Independently develops technical specifications/standards and Requisitions for packaged equipment and system such as Glycol Dehydration Package, Chemical Injection package, H2S removal package, Produced water treatment Package, WHRU, etc.
- Independently evaluates the technical aspects of bids received from suppliers and concludes assessment to the bide. Generally, less complex packages and middle risk equipment are assigned.
- Assists in placing and executing the orders. After orders, independently reviews Supplier documents (such as data sheets, drawings) for their completeness, accuracy and compliance. Being the focal point, liaises and coordinates with various stakesholders.
- Provides technical/engineering support/visit and advice for quality work at supplier shop and Construction/Commissioning work at site
- Independently resolves technical issues using expert knowledge and technical know-how that may arise during the execution of package engineering, fabrication and post delivery.
- To ensure business activities and decisions conform to the laws and regulations and demonstrates high standard of ethical behaviour.
Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 10 years of relevant working experience in Mechanical engineering in oil and gas sector, preferable experience in FPSO, off-shore application
- Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects
- Shall be conversant with design standards and International Industry Codes such as ASME, API, NACE, etc.
