Project Quality Manager


Responsibilities:

  • To independently organize, manage and be accountable for all QA/QC aspects of an assigned project under the guidance of the Project Manager and Department Manager.
  • Providing leadership and overseeing all aspects of quality management and implementation on company project.
  • Devising project specific Project Quality Plans (PQP), operating procedures, forms and controlled documentation in line with established management systems and in conformance with required standards and specifications.
  • Manage and control all quality control activities in accordance with identified Quality Assurance standards, company procedures, client specifications and contract requirements.
  • Provide support to Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Mechanical Completion and Commissioning team for quality aspects, actions and decisions during EPCI phase.
  • Liaise with QA Engineer / Quality Coordinator for effective implementation of project quality requirements and control of Vendor / Subcontractor activities.
  • Liaise with Department Manager and Contracts department to establish service contracts for Class and other regulatory Scope of Work.
  • Responsible for ensuring quality compliance by Fabricators, Shipyard and Suppliers through Contractor Inspection Coordinators or QA/QC Coordinators who will oversee source inspection activities
  • Develop Quality Program and responsible for the independent surveillance and audit of the project for compliance with procedures and requirements, as well as the documentation of compliance and corrective actions.
  • Participate in external quality audits on project and representing the company in liaising with external/ third party auditors to facilitate auditing and compliance of company quality systems for accreditation
  • Supervises / guides Vendor Coordination Engineer (who coordinates all activities with the vendors) and Class/Compliance Engineer (who manages all matters related to Class Compliance) assigned to the project.
  • Appoints and supervises site QA/QC Coordinators and Inspection Teams for all project sites of the assigned project.
  • Liaises with Certification Authority for all necessary certifications, and reviews and responds to the Class Authoritys approval progress and comments to ensure timely receipt of the necessary certifications. Also liaises with client for the acceptance of the product.
  • Develops the Master Project Quality Audit Schedule and carries out quality audits on vendors and subcontractors and monitors close-out of all non-conformances.
  • Conducts orientation for project team personnel on the quality aspects and participates in all meetings on QAQC aspects of the project.
  • Guides all project teams and resolves all quality related conflicts in consultation with Project Manager and Department Manager.

Experience

  • 10 years of relevant working experience in oil and gas sector.
  • Proven FPSO / Floater project experience 
  • Full knowledge of quality assurance and quality control aspects of the project.
  • Internal Auditor / Lead Auditor.
  • Other certifications like welding engineering, QA certifications, NDT certifications etc preferred
