MARINE MANAGER ENGINEER
Main Responsibilities
- Independently manage the multi-disciplinary engineering and design team of hull and marine facilities of FPSO project in order to deliver FPSO Marine engineering within budget, schedule and quality
- Provide leadership to the Marine engineering team and be the single focal point in the Project organisation all issues related to Marine engineering to deliver consistent engineering design across all Hull and Marine facilities of FPSO
- Lead the setting up of all Engineering and Design systems, Engineering Execution Plan, Engineering Schedule, Master document Register (MDR), FEED Verification, Procurement Schedule, Engineering stages and gates, schedule of engineering reviews and Audit
- Implement engineering change management for the Marine engineering post design freeze in all disciplines including communication, tracking and approval by the relevant stakeholders
- Supervise all Marine discipline leads to ensure delivery of engineering design that complies with Company standards, Client standards, Class Society rules, applicable international codes and standards and
- Conduct internal Hull and Marine engineering team meetings, meetings with Shipyard Engineering team and Third Party, participating in meetings with Clients and other external agencies.
- Motivate the Marine engineering team and Shipyard team to perform, provide performance feedback, forecast and manage engineering resources on the project
- Develop Marine Engineering manning plan, engineering software budget, third party study budget, approve engineering relation variation orders from Shipyard and suppliers
- Lead in forecasting and mobilising engineering and design resources for the Marine Engineering Team in the project
- Lead in developing solutions to complex Hull and Marine Engineering problems by analysing, interpreting and evaluating various precedents and data. Shall be capable of interfacing with Clients on problems solving
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering with minimum 20 years’ experience in onshore/offshore Oil & Gas area or FPSO line(s) or MS degree plus minimum 18 years relevant experience.
- Diploma holders having 25 years experience with additional qualification/ Certificate (making the equivalent to degree) can also be considered.
- Minimum 1 FPSO experience is necessary
- Adequate knowledge of all the interfaces between Topside and Marine Engineering, facilities/systems of FPSO with specific attention to his discipline, and working of all Process, Mechanical, Piping, Structure, Electrical & Telecom, Instrumentation and Marine engineering
- Adequate knowledge of design codes and regulatory requirements of EPCI project
- Familiar the use of software, database systems related to engineering functions
- Knowledge of completing and alternative technologies
- Must understand and interpret total project life cycle cost and benefits as well as their implications during FEED and EPCI phases of project
