Responsibilities:
Develop and manages the organisation's procurement strategies
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing suppliersto achieve objectives of the organisation
Work collaboratively with Development and Design team to identify needs for Products and Services
Conduct research to source the best products and suppliers to meet project requirements
Prepare and run tenders, evaluate bids and make recommendations for suppliers
Drive contract negotiation and manage contracts and other business documents in support of the purchase of goods and service
Oversees operational procurement activities for product demands including monitoring the product quality supplied and supplier performance and ensure contractual obligations are met.
Keep up to date with market trends and innovations, regulations and new technology that can impact on the business
Requirements:
At least 5+ years in managerial role in Procurement/Sourcing in Renewable Energy industry (primary Solar, Wind and Energy Storage)
Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain/Procurement/Sourcing, Legal, Business Administration or Engineering, or technical field from accredited entity
Extensive supplier network for power plant/utility equipment and construction services
Ability to build and leverage strategic partnerships for mutual benefit
Result driven individual with a proven track record of reducing costs and ensuring that the company enjoys a competitive edge over its competitors by getting best quality, price and terms from suppliers.
Strong knowledge of contract law; principles of negotiations; procurement techniques; research and market analysis techniques; supplier qualification and development, contract development and administration
Capability in managing multiple simultaneous projects requiring frequent communication, organization, problem solving and negotiation
