SENIOR ENGINEER, MECHANICAL (ROTATING EQUIPMENT)
 
Purpose
Independently define concepts and critical deliverables while leading, planning, managing, and controlling engineering tasks for assigned small to mid-scale projects. Efficiently determine requisitions for mechanical components and equipment, ensuring timely execution and delivery in compliance with company specifications and procedures. Proactively engage with stakeholders, resolve issues related to assigned packages, and provide guidance to the team.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Knowledgeable about specifications and requirements for mechanical rotating equipment, including process gas compressors, screw compressor packages, reciprocating compressors, gas turbines, and seawater injection pumps. Familiar with industry codes, standards, classification society rules, and regulatory requirements. Responsible for designing and selecting rotating equipment for EPC projects across various engineering phases, from feasibility and FEED studies to detailed engineering for offshore and FPSO projects
  • Develops and oversees technical specifications, standards, and requisitions for engineers, ensuring all technical requirements are included in engineering deliverables. Reviews and validates them with the Section Head, Project Management Team, and client.
  • Evaluates the technical aspects of supplier bids and provides assessments, typically handling complex or high-risk equipment packages.
  • Supports order placement and execution, reviewing supplier documents (e.g., data sheets, drawings) for accuracy, completeness, and compliance. Acts as the main point of contact, coordinating with various stakeholders.
  • Manages the mechanical team, ensuring the quality and timely delivery of project outputs.
  • Provides technical support and guidance for quality checks at supplier facilities and during construction or commissioning at the site.
  • Resolves technical issues during engineering, fabrication, and post-delivery using expertise and experience.
  • Ensures all activities comply with laws, regulations, and high ethical standards.
Requirement:
  • Singaporean / Singapore PR only
  • Bachelor Degree in Engineering
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in Mechanical engineering in oil and gas sector, preferable experience in FPSO, off-shore application
  • Possess relevant experience working on EPC projects
  • Shall be conversant with design standards and International Industry Codes such as ASME, API, etc.
