Senior Consultant - LNG & Green Fuels

What You Should Have
We are seeking energy professionals to deliver innovative LNG supply and energy solutions to our clients. As part of an interconnected team, you will provide engineering and consultancy services to the energy sector from project development to Front End Engineering Design (FEED).
You will be involved in feasibility studies, conceptual design, technical due diligence, FEED, and basic engineering across LNG and LNG-to-Power projects in Asia.
You will also play a pivotal role in business development (BD), expanding the organization's reach in LNG and green fuels. This is a dual role requiring both technical expertise and strong business acumen.
Experience:
• 10–20 years of process engineering/design experience in floating LNG terminals (FSRU, FSU, or FLNG), including conversions.
• Proven expertise in developing FEED for LNG/FLNG projects.
• Experience in reputed engineering firms or international consulting firms preferred.
Technical Skills:
• Proficiency with process modeling tools like Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, Flarenet, and Flaresim.
• Deep knowledge of hydraulic calculations, TRV relief, and safety practices.
• Familiarity with industry standards and best practices for LNG and green fuels.
Additional Capabilities:
• Willingness to engage with Green Hydrogen, Green Ammonia, and other energy transition projects.
• Fluent in English with excellent report-writing and communication skills.
Educational Background:
• Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university.
Responsibilities:
Business Development (70-60% of total time)
Client Acquisition & Engagement:
• Identify, approach, and secure new clients in LNG, FLNG, and green fuels markets. • Proactively engage with stakeholders in the energy sector, including investors, developers,
operators, and regulators.
Market Expansion:
• Develop strategies to position the organization as a leader in the LNG and green fuels domain. • Increase awareness of services by conducting presentations, webinars, and hosting client
workshops.
Client Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients by addressing their challenges and delivering tailored solutions.
• Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts and ensure client satisfaction throughout
the project lifecycle.
Proposal Development & Sales:
• Lead the preparation of technical-commercial proposals, including cost estimation, scope definition, and timelines.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with clients and partners to close deals successfully.
Networking & Awareness:
• Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums to showcase expertise and promote the company's offerings.
• Establish partnerships and collaborations with other organizations to enhance the company’s
presence in emerging markets.
Strategic Insights & Reporting:
• Identify industry trends, client needs, and market opportunities to align the company’s services with demand.
• Regularly update senior leadership with progress reports, sales forecasts, and client feedback.
Technical Responsibilities (30-40%)
• Good knowledge of industry standards and practices related to process design and safety.
• Carry out PFDs & P&IDs, HMB development, Design Pressure & Temperature breaks & Protection measures.
• Prepare critical milestones for various disciplines to support HAZID and HAZOP, SIL assessment.
• Develop philosophy for cryogenic spill control, cold insulation, Fire Fighting systems, ESD system, etc.
• Review and develop Flare sizing calculations, process calculations, FEED and EPC contractor's proposal, and technical design to ensure it meets the design basis for the project requirement, industry codes and standards, and best practices in the industry.
• Conduct fire fighting system and hydraulic calculations.
• Proficiency using Aspen HYSYS, HTRI, Flarenet, Flaresim.
• Willingness to work with Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia (Power-to-X) Projects.
