Position Title: Head of EC&I (Head of Electrical, Control & Instrumentation Maintenance)
Duration: 1-year direct hire contract (potential for renewal)
Reporting To: Head of Operations & Maintenance
Location: Malacca
Roles:
- Responsible to manage, maintain and supervise Electrical, Control & Instrumentation (EC&I) maintenance activities efficiently, effectively and safely.
- Overall planning, coordination and implementation of the plant’s maintenance programme including scheduled maintenance, outages, major overhauls and ad hoc tasks.
- Assist the Head of Maintenance across a number of functions, maintenance, operation, purchasing and coordinating the Station’s internal and external audit activity.
Responsibilities:
- Maintenance Management - Maintain corrective and preventive maintenance and implement the plant computerized maintenance management programme (CMMS) and spare parts inventory policies to ensure smooth plant operations efficiently.
- Budget and Cost Control - Prepare annual departmental budget and constantly monitor expenses incurred, to ensure the usage is efficient.
- Internal and External Audit - Plan and coordinate the organisation annual internal audit, and external audit assessment by third parties.
- Risk Management - Assess and evaluate risk management strategy in timely manner as identified by the management and to mitigate the plant risk to an acceptable level.
- Project Management - Identify in-house project needs for equipment, process and system improvements. To plan, coordinate and implement projects as according to projected timeline with proper drawing, & procedures in place. To ensure the successful executive of the project within the budgeted cost.
Requirements:
- Bachelor of Electrical & Electronic Engineering OR Bachelor of Electronics Engineering OR Bachelor of Electrical Engineering.
- Authorized Entrance and Standby Person (AESP).
- 7 - 8 years’ experience in related field with 5 to 7 year’s managerial experience.
- Experience in C&I maintenance from any power plant, chemical plant, oil and gas and utilities.
- Experience in working on SAP system (CMMS) is an advantage.
- Proficient in Turbine controller logic diagrams and PLC programs.
- Read & interpret instrumentation & control documentation, piping & instrument diagrams (P&IDs), electrical schematics, related ANSI/ISA drawings
