Lighting Specification and Business Development Manager – Middle East
Job Description: An International Manufacturer of LED lighting products is looking to fill the position of Specification Manager for their regional office in the United Arab Emirates (U.A.E).
Responsibilities:
▪ Develop and maintain close relationships with specifiers and clients throughout the Middle East.
▪ Plan, develop and execute sales and marketing plans.
▪ Build and track annual forecasts and budgets with reporting to senior management.
▪ Promote brand through all sales channels.
▪ Deliver professional product presentations to lighting designers and architects. Product presentations are to be delivered in-person or via online meetings accordingly.
▪ Understand the client requirements to provide suitable lighting solutions from our product range.
▪ Develop plans to increase high-level contacts at target accounts, through a strategic effort that will increase penetration.
▪ Understand the industry trends and set priorities in order to direct your sales activities in such a manner to best promote our products and achieve specifications.
▪ Establish company as an industry leader, through an in-depth understanding of competitive account programs.
▪ Attend international events and exhibitions as directed by Senior Management.
▪ Liaison between the technical team, sales team and the clients.
The successful candidate will possess:
o A clear understanding of lighting technology.
o Strong understanding of the marketplace and knowledge of company services/products.
o Result oriented attitude.
o Strong organizational, communication (written and verbal) and administrative skills.
o Ability to prioritize and manage a high degree of multi-tasking in a fast-moving, often
stressful environment.
o Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
o Proven track record of business development success in lighting industry.
o Strong interpersonal skills.
o Must be a self-starter with ability to manage day-to-day issues autonomously.
o Willing to travel.
Qualifications and experience:
▪ Bachelors degree
▪ Minimum 5 years of successful experience in similar position
▪ Middle East experience preferred.
▪ Proficiency in English
